Kickapoo Area Schools have a lot to offer for a small, rural school!

Ø  Experienced staff who care about students – our fully-licensed staff average over 15 years of experience with a staff to student ratio of 1 : 11.  Five teachers are National Certified Board Teachers who have completed the rigorous coursework to obtain this.

Ø  Classes that prepare students for life after graduation – Advanced Placement (AP) classes and Technical Education classes that are second to none in our state-of-the-art shop. Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses which provide students with a strong foundation for the workforce.  Students can obtain a CNA license or take college courses online to earn credit before graduating.  If we don’t offer a class, students can take it through Wisconsin Virtual School.

Ø  Our math team has placed 2nd for the last two years at the tri-state math contest, with several individuals placing on the 1st team.

Ø  Kickapoo Schools has continuously ranked in the US News and World Report as a Best School.

Ø  A scholarship program that is unsurpassed by any local schools.

Ø  Art, Band and Chorus courses that not only do well in the district and state levels but are involved in the community as well, through memorial programs and parades.

Ø  Strong extra-curricular programs with conference championships and state appearances.  Our girls’ wrestling program has shown tremendous growth since it started 5 years ago.

Ø  An FFA program that has over 100 students who volunteer their time to work at the Horse & Colt Show, local fairs, dairy breakfasts and unload the food pantry truck weekly.  They provide a birthday bag with a cake mix, pan and frosting for each elementary student, so every child can celebrate with a birthday cake.

Ø  Our middle school students every year pick up trash, do yard work for the community.

Ø  An elementary school that involves parents, grandparents and community members through Books for Breakfast, Grandparents’ Day celebration, Opera for the Young, Track and Field Day, Elementary Winter and Spring Concerts and the Talent Show.

Ø  A school lunch program that utilizes local beef and fresh vegetables.  Our science department has a greenhouse and is growing vegetables for our school lunch program.
